How GistPup Works

From community ranking to global discussion in four steps.

1. Twice-daily collection

Our collector visits every source community at 07:00 and 18:00 US Eastern time and records what is ranking highest — by votes, comments, or the community's own hot list.

2. Top-5 selection

From each source's ranking we select up to 5 posts using engagement, the source's own ordering, and media richness. The bar is quality, not quota: a quiet day can mean fewer than five posts.

3. Translation

Post titles are pre-translated into Korean. Full body translations are generated on demand in your browser language. All translations are automatic and may be imperfect.

4. Discussion

Every post has a discussion thread. Post anonymously or with an account, react with 👍 / 👎, and reply to others. See the Community Guidelines and Sources pages for details.
